Gaelic Football Season
Our girls and boys football teams were in action in October 2019 playing for a spot in the Cuman Na mBunscoil Schools' finals. We had a superb boys team on the pitch on Thursday October 11th but were prevented from progressing by a stronger Lisnagry side. The girls performed exceptionally well in their competition winning all of their matches. The girls team secured a spot in the school finals in the Gaelic Grounds scheduled for November 11th. It was the start of a great week for our school as the girls won the East trophy after a thrilling match. On Friday November 15th our girls travelled to Rathkeale where we met a very strong team from Corpus Christi. The semi final was a tense affair. It was a high scoring game with great play from both schools. After ten minutes of extra time our school emerged as winners. We met Ahalyin in the county final which was another great game with Roxborough school emerging as worthy winners.
