Laya Super Troopers Family Activity Wall Chart.

Pupils from 4th to 6th were given the Laya Super Troopers Family Wall Chart. Puils are encouraged to perform the fun activities and follow the recipies each week for 10 weeks. All the family are encouraged to get involved.

Cycle Safety Training
Our sixth classes were put through their paces over a six week course in safe cycling in October and November 2021. The training course was delivered by two qualified training instructors. During the course each week the school yard was transformed into roadways and junctions where the pupils learnt the safety skills required to assess situations and how to react to them.

Bike Week 2021
During Bike Week September 12th - 18th 2021 we organised many activities including safety talks, bike maintenance sessions and  fun cycling events for our senior pupils.

Cuman Na mBunscoil
We have a long and proud tradition of working with Cumann na mBunscoil to promote football, hurling and camogie in our school.  Our senior pupils are looking forward to putting on the school jersey and playing matches for their school in 2022.

Limerick Sports Partnership
Our school supports initiatives organised by Limerick School Partnership. We are looking forward to using  the resources developed by LSP to enhance and encourage the learning of fundamental movement skills.

Primary School Basketball
Basketball is a hugely popular sport with our pupils.  We are fortunate to have wonderful facilities  and it is a very popular lunchtime activity. Our senior pupils enjoy competing in the Limerick league and in friendly tournaments throughout the year.

South Liberties GAA Club
South Liberties GAA club is our local GAA club. The club is very accommodating in providing facilities to the school for walks, football and hurling matches. The school supports the club by passing on information to the pupils about family fun days and training sessions for football and hurling for kids.

Primary Schools Athletics
The pupils look forward to the Primary schools' Cross country event in the autumn and the Primary Schools athletics finals in the summer. The advantage of taking part in these athletics events is the emphasis on team work as opposed to individual performance.

Munster Rugby
Our senior pupils look forward to visiting Munster rugby coaches who promote rugby skills and do some really fun activities with the pupils. Our sixth class pupils always enjoy the tag rugby blitzes when they are organised and invited to take part.
